A registered nurse with telemetry expertise is sought for a travel assignment in Kansas City, KS, specializing in cardiac care within a telemetry unit. This role focuses on providing exceptional patient care during 12-hour night shifts, primarily managing patients with cardiac conditions and monitoring telemetry. Location Overview Situated in the vibrant Kansas City metropolitan area, this assignment is based at a modern medical center known for advanced cardiac services. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients with cardiac conditions. • Manage and monitor cardiac drips including Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem. • Administer and monitor processes such as TR Bands post-procedure and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation. • Float to all acute care units as needed. • Participate in every other weekend rotation and work holidays based on unit needs, including Memorial Day and July 4th. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams ensuring quality patient outcomes. • Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system effectively. Qualifications and Experience • Current Kansas RN licensure. • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. • Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience; 2-5 years preferred. • Familiarity with cardiac drip management and telemetry monitoring. • Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process preferred. • Ability to float within acute care units. Schedule • 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 3 days per week. Additional Information • Start dates available: April 13 or April 27. • Orientation includes multiple training days covering onsite and virtual sessions. • EPIC EMR system used. • No weekend on-call duty required. • Bi-weekly pay schedule. • Facility is tobacco-free. • Cancellation policies include a minimum 2-hour notice. • This is a travel nursing opportunity offering exposure to a dynamic cardiac telemetry environment.
