Job Title: Test Automation Architect (SCADA) Location: Los Angeles, CA(Remote) Duration: Long Term Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on test automation architect who is actively engaged in automation design and implementation. The ideal candidate will currently be working in a similar role and capable of contributing immediately in a fast-paced environment. This role is heavily hands-on (approximately 75%) with a balance of technical leadership (25%). The candidate should be comfortable operating as both an architect and a technical lead within a medium-sized automation team. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks Lead automation architecture initiatives and define best practices Actively contributes to hands-on coding and automation implementation Design and execute data-driven and parallel test automation strategies Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members Ensure automation solutions are robust, maintainable, and scalable Support automation execution across Linux environments Required Qualifications Currently working in a similar Test Automation Architect Strong hands-on experience in test automation architecture and design Excellent coding skills, preferably in Python Experience in framework design, test design, and automation best practices Strong understanding of: o Data-driven testing o Parallel execution o Scalable automation design Experience working with medium-sized teams Technical Skills Programming/Scripting: Python (primary), Bash, PowerShell, C# (nice to have) CI/CD Tools: Jenkins (test integration and job setup) Version Control: GitHub (PR workflow, code management) Database: SQL (basic querying and reporting) Operating Systems: Linux (command line, file handling, permissions) Nice to Have Exposure to Tosca Understanding of automation orchestration across tools Experience integrating tools such as: o SSH / PuTTY sessions o Python scripts running on Linux o Workflow integration across automation platforms Ideal Candidate Profile Hands-on and actively coding in current role Not a purely managerial or strategic profile Comfortable balancing architecture and execution Able to quickly adapt and contribute without ramp-up time Practical, execution-focused, and detail-oriented What We Are Not Looking For Senior managers, directors, or non-hands-on leaders Candidates with only theoretical or outdated technical experience Profiles that are overly strategic without current hands-on involvement
