This role provides an opportunity to lead and scale global search engine marketing initiatives, driving measurable customer acquisition, lead generation, and pipeline growth. The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing (SEM) will oversee strategy, execution, and budget for paid search programs across multiple regions and platforms, ensuring campaigns deliver strong ROI. You will collaborate closely with product marketing, regional marketing, analytics, and growth teams to align SEM campaigns with commercial priorities and product value propositions. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader who can mentor teams, implement optimization frameworks, and maintain operational excellence while balancing short- and long-term growth objectives. You will also partner with finance and sales teams to guide data-driven investment decisions and improve full-funnel performance. This position is based in San Francisco and offers a dynamic environment with high visibility and impact.
Accountabilities:
• Lead the global SEM strategy, defining vision, goals, and growth plans across segments (SMB, mid-market, enterprise).
• Manage multi-million-dollar SEM budgets, including planning, pacing, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
• Develop and execute campaign structures, keyword strategies, bidding models, ad creatives, and landing page optimizations.
• Implement testing frameworks to continuously improve click-through rates, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.
• Collaborate with product marketing, content, lifecycle, and regional marketing teams to ensure messaging and campaigns align with business objectives.
• Partner with analytics and data teams to monitor campaign performance, attribution, and pipeline impact.
• Build and mentor SEM teams, establishing playbooks, best practices, and consistent performance review cadences.
• Maintain operational excellence through campaign hygiene, tracking governance, documentation, and adoption of emerging platforms and AI-driven tools.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in SEM or performance marketing, with demonstrated success driving measurable growth and ROI.
• Strong expertise managing multi-region, large-scale paid search programs (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads).
• Experience optimizing B2B SaaS or fintech pipelines with full-funnel visibility from lead to revenue.
• Hands-on familiarity with marketing automation, analytics, and CRM tools such as Marketo, Looker, SQL, Salesforce.
• Demonstrated analytical strength, including bid modeling, forecasting, and performance attribution.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Preferred: multilingual skills (Mandarin or Cantonese), experience with AI-driven ad copy or creative automation, and knowledge of multi-touch attribution and paid-organic alignment strategies.
