Job Title: Copy Editor – Final Refinement (Editorial Feedback Implementation)
How are you? Are you available for this job? It will require an approximately 30-minute video call to review the instructions and the chapter for a manuscript. I have signed an NDA, so it is important that the copy editor understands and adheres to confidentiality requirements.
We are seeking a precise and skilled Copy Editor to perform the final refinement of a completed 10,000. This role involves incorporating detailed editorial feedback into a manuscript that is already written. The goal is to ensure the chapter is polished, coherent, and publication-ready.
Responsibilities:
Implement all editorial feedback directly into the existing chapter
Correct any grammatical, typographical, or stylistic errors identified in the feedback
Improve clarity, flow, and consistency where indicated
Ensure the chapter aligns fully with the client’s notes and instructions
Verify originality using professional plagiarism detection software
Requirements:
Strong command of grammar, syntax, structure, clarity, and tone
Attention to detail, responsiveness, and adherence to deadlines
Access to professional plagiarism detection software
Prior publication experience is a strong plus
PhD scholars or candidates with a doctoral degree preferred
Applicants should provide writing samples, proof of published work, and a brief summary of academic background. This is strictly a final-stage refinement project; the chapter is already complete, and the task is to implement editorial feedback accurately and efficiently.
