**Job Summary**
As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Merchandise Planning Analytics team. You'll be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, creating reports, and providing insights to inform business decisions. **Work Environment**
As a remote employee, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States, with a focus on the Central Standard Time (CST) zone. You'll be expected to work a standard 8-hour day, with a one-hour lunch break from 12 pm to 1 pm. While the hours can be flexible, you'll need to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week to meet the business needs.
**Responsibilities**
As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing and analyzing large datasets, including Own Brand (private label) reporting, recapping, tracking, and analysis
* Conducting ad-hoc analysis based on business needs, using complex Excel formulas and data synthesis techniques
* Creating reports and providing insights to inform business decisions, using Microsoft Excel and other tools
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders
* Developing effective working relationships and communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing
* Managing and prioritizing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines
* Adapting to changing work priorities and working independently
**Top Must-Have Skills**
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as analytics, data science, finance, financial analysis, assortment planning, retail, procurement/purchasing, or merchandising
* At least 3-5 years of experience in data analytics or a related field, with a strong understanding of retail merchandising basics and merchandising organization structures and processes
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with storytelling finesse
* Ability to conduct complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Microsoft Excel
* Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, using Microsoft PowerPoint
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities
* Retail math background, including item-level forecasting, sales by type, and AUR impacts
* Intermediate/Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel, including SUM/SUMIFS, Subtotals, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Macros, and Pivot tables
**Top Nice-to-Have Skills**
While not essential, the following skills would be highly desirable:
* MBA or a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degree
* Data science experience
* Retail experience
* SQL coding, Microsoft Access, and Macro building
**Education / Experience Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you'll need to have at least 3-5 years of experience in analytics or data science, with a merchandising background.
