**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and support of our cloud-based data pipelines. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues on various projects, including data pipeline design, development, and maintenance. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality data products that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop scalable, cloud-based data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and technologies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan, and execute data pipeline projects
* Develop and maintain data pipelines, including data ingestion, processing, and delivery
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data pipeline lifecycle
* Work with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to streamline data pipeline operations
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data pipelines
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data engineering
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with Docker, GitLab, and Windstream
* Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS
* Proficiency in cloud design and product development
* Experience with source control tools, such as GitLab or GitHub
* Experience using Docker and containerization
* Familiarity with data visualization tools and technologies
* Experience working with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights
