**About the Role**
As an Aetna Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Specialty Mail Request Pharmacy Group. You'll be responsible for accurately processing, interpreting, and entering data into our computer system, including medication dosages, prescriptions, and insurance payments. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients to ensure the accuracy of patient specialty medication orders.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Accurately process, interpret, and enter data into our computer system, including medication dosages, prescriptions, and insurance payments
* Contact healthcare professionals' offices and insurance companies to verify the accuracy of patient specialty medication orders
* Respond to patient calls to arrange and manage new patient medication requests and reorders, including verifying and re-verifying benefits
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and medication orders
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to patient medication orders
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience
**Requirements**
* Valid AZ Pharmacy Technician License
* At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting
* At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-Based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
* Proficient keyboarding skills and ability to sit or stand for the duration of the shift (8-10 hours)
* Ability to use a computer and keyboard while performing the essential duties of this role
**Preferred Qualifications**
* At least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician
* At least 90 days of experience handling and resolving customer needs via telephone
* Experience in healthcare, benefits, and insurance
* Experience with clinical charging, coding, and other clinical support roles
* Customer service experience in an office setting
* At least 6 months of professional work experience, including inbound and outbound telephone customer care
* Strong customer service skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in computer programs
* Excellent data entry skills
