Position: Brand Designer, Core Brand Remote-Friendly, United States; San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. The Creative Studio is Anthropic’s in-house creative team responsible for the brand expression across Anthropic and Claude. We care about craft, making things by hand and using AI when it makes sense. The team is growing, and we’re looking for people who do excellent work to join us. The stakes are real, and there’s room to shape what all this becomes. About the role Anthropic is looking for a Brand Designer to help shape how Claude and Anthropic show up in the world. This role is built for someone who cares deeply about craft, brings strong instincts about what matters and why, and thrives on variety. Brand Design is a horizontal function that touches every part of how Anthropic and Claude come to life visually, from company identity to product brand and everything in between across mediums. The team introduces what's new and what's next, creating breakthrough creative work that sets the quality bar and then building the systems that let those ideas scale. Reporting to the Head of Brand Design, you'll join a tight team of specialists in illustration and motion, partnering closely with designers, external creative partners, and cross‑functional teams across the company. The range of problems you'll work on is unusually broad, and the impact of your work reaches far beyond any single team. Responsibilities • Create high‑quality design work across a wide variety of mediums, moving between projects with different contexts, collaborators, and constraints while maintaining a consistently high bar. • Bring strategic instinct to every project, understanding how individual design decisions connect to broader brand goals and knowing when something needs to scale versus when it needs to be singular. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including product design, marketing, research, and engineering, bringing brand perspective to new surfaces and contexts as they emerge. • Contribute to the evolution of our brand guidelines and design systems, helping translate creative work into resources that enable other teams to execute independently. • Collaborate with and direct external agencies and studio partners to extend the team's creative vision, providing clear direction that helps them produce work at the level we'd create ourselves. You may be a good fit if you • 6+ years of brand design experience with an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates both creative ambition and versatility across a broad range of formats and contexts. • Get energized by variety and context‑switching, approaching each new challenge with fresh curiosity rather than wanting to own and optimize a single domain over time. • Bring conviction to your design decisions with enough strategic awareness to understand why a project matters, and can articulate your thinking clearly even when the audience is senior leadership or cross‑functional partners with different priorities. • Collaborate across disciplines while staying grounded in what you do best, holding your own in conversations with product designers, engineers, researchers, and marketing teams. • Think naturally about how creative work becomes scalable, bringing a systems mindset to projects without needing to be told to think about downstream impact. • Elevate the work of external creative partners and agencies through clear creative direction and candid feedback. Final date to receive applications: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. $260,000 - $305,000 USD Logistics Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Location‑based hybrid policy: Curre…
