DXC continues to significantly expand our SAP business in the UK and in Europe and is looking for a SAP Developer to be part of our team. We are a virtual first company so you will be based at home with minimal travel.
To respond to SAP incidents and change requests for a variety of customers in the Aerospace and Defence, Civil Nuclear, Utilities and Manufacturing sectors.
You will have a proven track record of developing solutions based on SAP development and Workflow technologies. Exposure to SAP Fiori and Process Orchestration would be a plus for us.
Due to nature of our client accounts, we would need to obtain Security Clearance for you and as such the criteria for this is, that you will be a sole British National who has lived and worked in the UK consecutively for the past 5 years. We are unable to consider dual nationals at this time.
Facilitates the delivery and support of the development portion of projects/programs within specified functional area(s)
Development aspects include reports, interfaces, conversion programs, enhancements and form output
Provision of accurate estimates based upon user requirements
Development and deployment, rollout and hand-over of small to medium projects, applications, systems software, and/or enhancements Ensuring that developments meet business requirements and goals and fulfill end-user requirements
Provide SAP technical expertise to assist in the resolution of customer incidents
Work directly with functional analyst to document the technical requirements as well as develop and recommend solutions
Participation in SAP project work as and when required
Work directly with SAP functional systems analyst to document the technical requirements as well as develop and recommend solutions and identify any potential process changes affected
Develop solutions which drive business benefit
Diagnoses and debug of SAP application errors
Ensuring that developments meet the business requirements and goals, and fulfill end-user requirements
SAP Programming, ABAP, OO ABAP, BAPIs/RFCs, Forms (SAP Scripts/Smartforms/Adobe), ALV reporting
Troubleshooting and status tracking of messages
Strong problem solving and organisational skills
Strong consulting skills, excellent communication and written skills - with the ability to deliver presentations and workshops
Ability to influence and actively contribute to bid work
