The Servicing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring homeowners receive timely and accurate service related to their home equity investments, managing communications and supporting servicing to maintain a high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Field calls from homeowners and third parties, providing accurate and empathetic assistance
- Respond promptly to emails from homeowners, third parties, and internal teams
- Create and explain settlement statements
- Use the system of record to retrieve and update homeowner information accurately
- Interpret investment and insurance documents to explain them to homeowners
- Review and approve or deny subordination requests
- Adhere to company, investor, and legal guidelines
Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in mortgage servicing call centers
- Ability to read and understand mortgage documentation
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a strong sense of ownership
- Professional communication and client service skills
- Willingness to comply with quality control assessments
- Flexibility to support other teams and tasks as needed
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, or a related field
