The role involves designing and building cross-platform mobile games, optimizing performance, and integrating monetization features for both iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
• Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting
• Implement core gameplay mechanics and game systems from concept to deployment
• Optimize game performance for seamless experiences across a wide variety of mobile devices
• Integrate monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks to ensure games are market-ready
• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate and refine gameplay
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices in game development
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Skills
• Proven experience developing mobile games with Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua scripting language
• Strong understanding of cross-platform game deployment for both iOS and Android
• Demonstrated ability to prototype quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environments
• Solid knowledge of optimizing mobile game performance and managing device compatibility
• Experience integrating monetization solutions such as ads and in-app purchases
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail
