Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, detail‑oriented Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our Prescription Management and Compliance team. In this role you will act as a critical conduit between prescribers, pharmacies, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that all prescription data is accurately captured, validated, and reported in accordance with federal and state regulations. Your analytical mindset and strong communication skills will help safeguard patient safety, support Good Faith Dispensing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across arenaflex’s controlled‑substance programs. Key Responsibilities - Review, organize, and enter Prescriber Evaluation Referral Forms (PERF) into the internal system within defined turnaround times. - Gather internal and external prescribing data, coordinate mailings to prescribers and patients, and manage the release of COMPASS and RHM communications. - Conduct ad‑hoc analyses for the prescriber assessment team and prepare concise reports for Integrity and Patient Safety groups. - Research and evaluate managed‑substance orders that are flagged at the “shop” stage, identifying suspicious patterns based on ordering behaviors and contextual factors. - Generate timely reports and provide data to DEA agents on pharmacies with irregular prescribing trends, ensuring a 48‑hour reporting window. - Develop and run custom queries to extract data outside of standard reporting parameters, supporting investigative and compliance initiatives. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of controlled‑substance ordering policies, Good Faith Dispensing (GFD) guidelines, and DEA licensing requirements; serve as a point of contact for pharmacy teams via email and phone. - Assist analysts in building and reviewing pharmacy audit reports for controlled‑substance losses, collaborating closely with Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors to guarantee accurate, on‑time reporting. - Manage the prescriber price‑tag decision tool, validate and update prescriber information, and verify prescription blocks in partnership with pharmacists. - Research and analyze requests for increases to controlled‑substance allowances, making data‑driven recommendations in coordination with pharmacy leadership and external vendors. - Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Good Faith Dispensing policies, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant. - Leverage advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and database querying skills to assist analysts in creating visual presentations and educational materials for pharmacy staff and leadership. Essential Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required; minimum three (3) years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related data‑entry role. - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is mandatory. - Demonstrated familiarity with prescriber licensing requirements, including NPI, DEA, and state licenses. - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas), Word, and PowerPoint. - Experience querying relational databases (SQL, Access, or similar) to retrieve and manipulate prescription data. - Strong analytical abilities to read, interpret, and report data trends, exceptions, and root‑cause findings. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, from frontline pharmacy staff to senior compliance leaders. Preferred Qualifications - Hands‑on experience with arenaflex internal platforms such as SIMS (Store Information Management System) and IC (Integrated Communications). - Knowledge of arenaflex’s controlled‑substance ordering workflows, including PDQ’s, RxQuick Order, and Passport systems. - Prior involvement in Good Faith Dispensing (GFD) or Targeted Drug Good Faith Dispensing initiatives. - Familiarity with DEA reporting requirements and experience preparing compliance submissions.
