Performance Marketing Data Analyst (CRO, Ads & Funnel Optimization) - Contract to Hire

We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Performance Marketing Data Analyst to help us extract meaningful insights from our static ads, advertorials, landing pages, and CRO experiments. We operate in the feminine health and wellness space and consistently run creative and funnel tests. We don’t need surface-level reporting — we need someone who can conduct deep analysis and produce structured, insight-driven post-mortems that directly improve performance. If you think in hypotheses, patterns, and behavioral psychology — this role is for you. What You’ll Do Analyze performance data across Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, advertorials, and landing pages. Break down results by hook, creative angle, messaging, layout, audience segment, and funnel stage. Conduct detailed test post-mortems answering: What worked What didn’t Why What we test next Use behavioral tools like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity to analyze heatmaps, scroll maps, and session recordings. Interpret analytics data using Triple Whale, Replo, Google Analytics etc.. Identify friction points, drop-offs, attention decay, and UX weaknesses. Spot patterns across campaigns to guide future creative and CRO strategy. Present insights in structured reports that are clear, decisive, and actionable. Technical Skills Required Strong experience with performance marketing data analysis. Deep understanding of CRO principles and A/B testing methodology. Ability to interpret CTR, hook rate, hold rate, CVR, CPA, AOV, MER, and funnel metrics. Advanced Google Sheets / Excel skills (pivot tables, segmentation, trend analysis). Comfortable working with paid traffic data from Meta and TikTok. Soft Skills We Expect (Critical for This Role) We are specifically looking for someone who has: Analytical curiosity – You naturally ask “why?” multiple times before concluding. Structured thinking – You can turn messy test results into clean frameworks. Clear communication – You explain complex data in simple language. Intellectual honesty – You don’t protect ideas; you protect performance. Pattern recognition ability – You see trends others miss. Proactive mindset – You suggest what to test next instead of waiting for direction. Comfort with ambiguity – Not all data is clean; you can still extract insights. Ownership mentality – You treat performance like it’s your responsibility. Nice to Have (High-Leverage Skills) Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio or similar BI tools. Basic understanding of statistical significance calculations. Familiarity with creative strategy or direct-response psychology. Experience working with DTC / eCommerce brands.
