Focus Financial Partners is a leading financial services firm that provides integrated wealth management, family office, and business management services. They are seeking an Operations Associate to specialize in account onboarding and cashiering, playing a critical role in delivering exceptional client experiences by simplifying complex processes and maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all paperwork for new client onboarding and additional accounts for existing clients
- Ensure all forms are completed accurately, submitted in a timely manner, and meet compliance standards
- Process account documentation across multiple custodians, including Schwab, Fidelity, and Pershing
- Resolve issues such as missing documents or non-standard cases by working closely with internal teams and custodians
- Stay current on custodial platform tools and complete all relevant custodial trainings
- Look for opportunities to enhance the client experience (e.g., anticipating future needs, consolidating documentation that requires signatures)
- Accurately and promptly process cashiering requests (ACH transfers, wires, checks, journals, RMDs, capital calls, etc.)
- Ensure all money movement transactions comply with firm and custodial policies, including callback protocols
- Identify opportunities to consolidate client signature requests and enhance processing efficiency
- Maintain accurate client records across CRM and custodial platforms
- Regularly audit client data to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies
- Coordinate with Advisors and other service team members to ensure alignment and a seamless client experience
- Assist with special projects
- Contribute to updating internal training materials and onboarding best practices
- Participate in enhancing workflows as systems and processes evolve
- Uphold strict confidentiality of all client, firm, and employee information
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; 1+ years of experience in financial services preferred
- Familiarity with account onboarding processes and major custodians (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing) a plus
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
