They are seeking an Operations Account Reconciler to perform daily reconciliations of firm nostro accounts, liaise with back-office teams, and participate in month-end close activities.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily reconciliations (nostro, GL to subledger, custodial accounts, etc.) efficiently and accurately
- Liaise with back-office teams to investigate any outstanding break results, escalating when necessary to support timely resolutions
- Prepare the daily submission of Key Risk Indicators for management reporting
- Participate in month-end close activities (Balance Sheet Substantiations)
- Support evidencing for audits and control testing
- Seek opportunities to streamline and strengthen controls and process flows in the spirit of achieving continuous improvement
- Contribute to procedural updates as part of any process flow or system change
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required
- Sound judgement, sense of urgency and accountability; time management; organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to execute in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working with large datasets and/or general proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience performing reconciliation activities within an operational control environment a plus
- Experience working with FIS Intellimatch / Data Integrity Manager products a plus
- Familiarity with corporate banking payment processing systems (SWIFT, ACH, etc.) and flows a plus
- Understanding of securities trade and banking transaction lifecycles and key financial market utilities such as CHIPS, CLS, Fed, DTCC, NSCC, etc. a plus
