Exciting new opportunity for a Network Operations Center Engineer to join our growing DCMS team! Responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting customer data center infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This role involves promptly identifying, diagnosing, and resolving infrastructure issues to minimize downtime. The shift for this position will be 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm EST but may change as needed to meet customer requirements. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Support our helpdesk team as well as partner with our offshore NOC team to resolve Tier II escalated service tickets - Maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, security and wireless networks - Maintain server and storage infrastructure, including physical, virtual and cloud - Maintain and renew SSL certificates - Research and troubleshoot alerts generated from our monitoring systems - Perform proactive scans and troubleshoot vulnerability alerts - Assist with remediating of alerts from EDRMDR tools - Assist with maintaining monitoring tools, making alert and threshold adjustments as needed - Work with third party vendors - Assist with backup and recovery of customer data, troubleshooting mail flow through SPAM filters and setting up OS Patch Policies against servers and workstations - Schedule after hours work - Implement timely solutions to customer issues or escalate internally as appropriate - Develop and maintain network documentation - Participates in an on-call rotation schedule with team members - All other duties, as assigned Skills: - Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), serversstoragenetworks and systems such as HP, Dell EMC - Experience with Microsoft Office 365 - Experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies - Proficiency in network protocols - Experience with network security technologies - Knowledge in implementation and troubleshooting serverstoragenetwork devices - Technical knowledge of storage, virtualization, and compute across multiple vendors - Experience working with diverse environments - Demonstrated positive and professional interpersonal skills, as well as strong written and verbal communications skills - Strong organizational, multi-tasking, detail-oriented and time management skills - Consistently maintains a high level of attention to detail - Works independently and collaboratively to resolve problems - Strong documentation skills - Adaptability to changing priorities - Positive teamwork skills - Maintains a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and a courteous demeanor - Solid understanding of technology including operating systems, networking, storage, anti-virus and backup - Effective critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to obtain business solutions Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field, preferred - 2-4 years of network operations experience within a Managed Services Provider environment - Prior experience working with Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Cisco, Fortinet, HP, Dell EMC technologies - Technical certifications are a plus and willingness to obtain additional certifications, preferably from the following vendors: Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet, Extreme, HP, Dell EMC, AWS, Red Hat This posting provides a general overview of the role and is not a comprehensive list of all responsibilities. Salary range: The base salary range for this role is expected to be $70,000-90,000 annually. Final offer will depend on experience, qualifications, location and other relevant factors.
