Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Part-Time Medicaid Outreach & Intake Coordinator (1099) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between community members and Medicaid services, ensuring individuals receive the support they need to access healthcare coverage. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help expand outreach efforts, facilitate smooth intake processes, and foster meaningful connections within diverse populations. Description: We’re hiring independent contractors to help with Medicaid paperwork for older adults and people with disabilities across Metro Atlanta. You may talk daily with people who use Medicaid and may qualify for these programs. You will not decide who gets services. You’ll work with redacted or de-identified data whenever possible. We welcome people who have worked with patients in hospitals, dialysis clinics, social work, and other places that serve Medicaid patients. What you’ll do: Talk with families and Medicaid patients daily to collect documents. Put together complete, correct paperwork packages. Enter data into our system and check for missing items. Work with redacted data as much as possible; if private health information is needed, follow privacy rules. Follow HIPAA rules and join required privacy training. Meet goals for packets and help improve our process. Who you are You work for yourself (1099) and can cover all Metro Atlanta counties (Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton, etc.). You are calm, organized, reliable, and good with details. You are okay with redacted data; basic privacy knowledge. Experience in Medicaid intake or working with Medicaid patients in hospitals, dialysis clinics, doctors’ offices, or other care settings is a plus. Experience we value: Work with patients in hospitals, dialysis clinics, clinics, group homes, or other places that serve Medicaid patients. Ability to talk with people and families and collect documents without making enrollment decisions. Must live in Metro Atlanta (Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton, etc.) or have an easy commute to Atlanta. Must interact with Medicaid patients daily in the Atlanta area. Compensation and terms Paid per completed, compliant packet. 1099 contractor; no benefits; flexible hours; some travel. No exclusive provider ties; no enrollment guarantees or referral rewards.
