First Station Media is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about building, maintaining, and optimizing websites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with WordPress and Shopify, a strong foundation in front-end development, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced digital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress and Shopify
• Implement website designs from mockups using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Assist in building and maintaining e-commerce stores on Shopify
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and performance problems
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and senior developers on projects
• Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
• Perform routine updates, backups, and security checks
• Stay up to date with web development trends and best practices
Required Qualifications:
• Must be located in the United States
• 1 - 2 years of experience in web development
• Proficiency with WordPress (themes, plugins, customization)
• Experience working with Shopify (themes, product setup, basic customization)
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools
• Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
