Job Title: Technical Project Manager (USA-Remote)

Job Summary:
Abacus is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our growing team in Lahore. The successful candidate will lead a range of client projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with high-quality standards.
This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical foundation, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. The Project Manager will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, contributing directly to the success and growth of our consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Initiation
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Conduct kickoff meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Define project tasks and allocate resources effectively.
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Drive day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with planned objectives.
- Monitor timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resources.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
- Utilize project management tools for tracking and reporting.
- Maintain consistent communication with project teams and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Provide clear, timely updates on project status, changes, and challenges.
- Manage expectations and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Lead stakeholder meetings and presentations.
Technical Insight
- Understand key technical aspects relevant to project scope (e.g., software development, IT systems, engineering processes).
- Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility and quality delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical risks and constraints.
Project Closure
- Ensure all deliverables are completed, approved, and documented.
- Lead post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.
- Prepare and present closure reports and ensure proper archiving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on project management experience.
- Proven success managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Technical understanding of relevant domains (e.g., software development lifecycle, data analytics, cloud solutions).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.
- PMP certification (or equivalent) is a strong plus.
