I’m looking for a skilled illustrator to help finalize my 32‑page children’s book. All character designs, poses, and the main logo were created using AI and are already complete. What I need now is an artist who can refine facial expressions and illustrate background scenes to bring each page to life.
This is a focused finishing role — no character design, no logo work, and no major re‑concepting. The foundation is fully built; I just need a professional touch to complete the world and enhance emotional clarity.
Your Role
You will:
Refine and enhance character facial expressions for clarity, emotion, and consistency
Illustrate full‑color background scenes for roughly 28 pages
Match the established style of the existing character art
Integrate characters and backgrounds into cohesive final illustrations
Prepare files for hardcover print (CMYK, bleed, trim)
What I Will Provide

Illustrative descriptions
Style references and color direction
Notes for each scene’s mood and environment
Clear, timely feedback

Strong skills in expressive character illustration
Confident with background/environment art
Ability to match an existing style
Experience with children’s books (preferred)
Efficient communicator comfortable working within a defined visual framework
Familiar with preparing print‑ready files
Deliverables
28 polished illustrations with refined expressions + completed backgrounds
Final print‑ready files (PDF + layered source files)
Budget & Timeline
Because characters and core designs are already complete, this is a reduced‑scope finishing role, which should help keep costs manageable. I’m open to discussing rates based on experience and portfolio quality. Timeline is flexible, but I’d like to begin soon.
