Role Description The Remote Nursing Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality online instruction to nursing students in accordance with program standards, accreditation requirements, and current best practices in nursing education. This role includes: • Facilitating student learning and assessing performance • Providing timely and constructive feedback • Fostering engagement in a virtual learning environment • Integrating technology effectively to support diverse learning styles • Promoting student success and upholding the mission and values of the nursing program Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required • Master’s degree in nursing preferred • Active, unencumbered RN license; multi-state license required • Minimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience • Previous teaching experience in nursing education required • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with online learning platforms and digital communication tools • Excellent professional communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic) • Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered learning environment • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills • Flexibility to teach courses that may include daytime, evenings, and weekends to meet student needs Requirements • Teach assigned nursing courses in an engaging and interactive online format, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards • Utilize a variety of educational technologies, including learning management systems, virtual classrooms, and multimedia tools, to enhance the student learning experience • Develop and deliver course content, assignments, assessments, and activities that promote critical thinking, clinical judgement, and professional growth • Provide timely, constructive, and individualized feedback to students to support academic success and professional development • Maintain regular communication with students through virtual office hours, email, and other digital platforms • Monitor student progress, identify learning challenges, and collaborate with support services to provide appropriate interventions • Stay current with trends in nursing education, evidence-based practice, and educational technology to continually improve teaching effectiveness • Participate in course development, curriculum review, and program assessment activities • Engage in departmental meetings, committees, and faculty development opportunities to support institutional goals and continuous quality improvement • Other duties as assigned Benefits • Competitive compensation • Tuition scholarship program available to Adjunct faculty members and their immediate family members after one year of service and has taught at least seven (7) terms • Retirement plan • Health Advocate • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Discounts • IPad/Computer Purchase Program • Employee Referral Program Company Description Since 1966, ECPI University’s employees have been dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and career goals through our unique education model.
