Seeking a part-time writer to create engaging and informative eyecare-based content in the “Glance” style of conversational and easy-to-understand story writing.

The ideal candidate will have strong research skills, experience in niche-based feature writing, and the ability to write for a specific target audience.
Duties
Write 5 to 7 short-form (250 to 500 words) articles on a weekly basis based on clinical research and industry news
Adhere to conversational story format as guidance
Adapt writing style and tone to fit brand’s guidelines
Meet tight turnaround deadlines (same-day), dependent on story topic
Translate clinical jargon into clear, concise language for both clinical and non-clinical readers
Optimize content using SEO best practices in headline, preview, and subhead writing
Implement in-text citations
Revise content based on feedback from Managing Editor and Glance president
Qualifications:
Journalism background (minimum 2 to 5 years)
Experience in b2b or b2c writing (healthcare preferred but not required)
Experience in clinical or technical writing and the ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand content
Excellent research skills
Able to apply creative, out-of-the-box thinking to shaping and writing content
