We are a U.S.-based nonprofit organization with a team of approximately 19 employees seeking an experienced Fractional HR Consultant to support our people operations, compliance, and growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a strategic partner while also handling hands-on HR execution. While this will begin as a fractional/contract role, there is potential for this to evolve into a part-time or full-time employee position if it becomes the right mutual fit.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who can confidently manage and advise on the following:
•Payroll administration (we currently use Paychex, but are open to recommendations)
•Benefits administration
•Employee onboarding & offboarding
•Interfacing with health insurance brokers
•Workers’ compensation
•HR compliance (federal and state)
•Unemployment insurance
•Mandatory paid medical and family leave
•General HR best practices for a U.S.-based nonprofit organization
•You will act as our primary HR point of contact and trusted advisor.
Required Qualifications
•Native or fluent English speaker
•U.S.-based (must understand U.S. labor laws)
•Proven experience in fractional HR or HR consulting
•Experience supporting small organizations (10–30 employees)
•Familiarity with nonprofit environments is a strong plus
•Comfortable working with leadership and staff directly
•Strong knowledge of HR compliance and risk management
