Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customer Advocate I to join our team in San Angelo. As a Customer Advocate I, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our members and physicians. You will be responsible for responding to telephone and written inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner, conducting research, and spending approximately 85% of your scheduled time on the phone according to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to telephone and written inquiries from members and physicians in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner.
- Conduct research to resolve customer inquiries and provide accurate information.
- Spends approximately 85% of scheduled time on the phone according to business needs.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of arenaflex's products and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of customer service experience or 6 months of experience in an office environment.
- Data entry and/or typing experience.
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Analytical and organizational skills and independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to spend approximately 90% of scheduled time on the phone according to business needs and sit for long periods of time with scheduled breaks.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following preferred qualifications, you will be at an advantage in this role:
- 9 months of customer service experience.
- Experience working with various lines of business, such as CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
- Referral preference given to applicants able to take and meet testing criteria.
