We are a married couple with two young children seeking an experienced Florida-licensed estate planning attorney to help us set up a comprehensive estate plan.
We are financially organized and want this done correctly, efficiently, and with clear guidance. We are not looking for generic templates or document-only services.
Scope of Work:
- Draft wills for both spouses
- Establish guardianship provisions for minor children
- Advise on and potentially set up a revocable living trust
- Review and coordinate beneficiary designations (retirement accounts, insurance, etc.)
- Provide guidance on asset titling for real estate and investments
- Ensure the plan complies with Florida estate and probate law
- Answer practical questions and clearly explain tradeoffs
Our Situation (High-Level):
- Two minor children
- Multiple investment accounts (taxable + retirement)
- Several LLCs (total of 4, one of which is an S-Corp)
- Shares and earn-in equity in software start-up
- Rental properties and a primary residence
- Existing life insurance
- We value simplicity, protection, and flexibility
Requirements:
- Licensed attorney in the state of Florida (required)
- Proven experience with estate planning for families with minor children
- Comfortable handling trusts, guardianship, and asset coordination
- Clear communicator who explains options without unnecessary legal jargon
- Able to complete work remotely
