Key Responsibilities - Manage large volumes of inbound and outbound calls, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. - Input new claims into our claims system, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all relevant information. - Conduct thorough research to identify callers' needs, clarify information, and resolve calls when possible, escalating complex issues to adjusters as needed. - Provide outstanding customer service to all callers, including policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and a solutions-focused approach. - Effectively manage claims department email, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. - Assist claims management with various tasks and projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the claims department. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of claim notes, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of service. - Collaborate with other customer service representatives to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service, providing support and backup as needed. - Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets, contributing to the overall success of the claims department. - Handle all inbound mail received, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. - Perform other related duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: - Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Prior experience in auto insurance claims handling, with a strong understanding of claims processing and resolution procedures. - Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and efficient typing abilities. - Ability to work a set schedule, Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 8 PM, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: - One year of experience in auto insurance claims handling, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues. - One year of experience in customer service, with a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations. - Advanced computer skills, including experience with claims management software and other relevant technologies.
