Responsibilities
- Track, catalog and analyze both Redfin coverage and competitor coverage while consistently looking for ways to optimize processes for accuracy and efficiency
- Draft press releases and pitch Redfin reports to local media outlets
- Draft press briefing documents for spokespeople
- Research how the media is covering housing, including insights for the rental market
- Keep team updated on relevant industry events, emerging media platforms and more
- Update media lists and identify new reporters to pitch
Skills
- 1-2 years of full-time PR or communications experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
- You're highly organized and have experience tracking coverage and creating reports
- You've worked with reporters before and know how to draft a good pitch
- You're a creative thinker and strong communicator who reads the news and understands what's considered newsworthy
- Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Boolean searches, and Tableau
