CAM Workout Credit and Portfolio Review Analyst

Overview: Provide direct support to CAM Workout Officers and Management with respect to the portfolio management of the substandard or worse loan population, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance to policy and regulatory requirements and creating documentation of financial stability of customer. Perform support for modification work to re-capture the Bank’s principal balance and conduct pre-emptive reviews for non-accrual and charge-off processing. Primary Responsibilities: Act as Liaison between CAM Workout Officers and Business and Commercial Bank to include Credit and Risk teams to ensure appropriate delivery and completion of all documents and processes related to loan workouts. Evaluate Business and Commercial Loans assigned to Workout to determine net return in a liquidation scenario. Credit facilities include secured and unsecured term loans, commercial mortgages, lines of credit, commercial leases, letters of credit, corporate card and Tier II guidance lines. Collect financial information directly from the customer, such as tax returns, and personal financial statements and analyze the financial conditions, cash flow, collateral, and credit history for valuations to assess risk exposure Prepare cash flow analysis of business and personal guarantors using financial statements and establish a financial update/renewal schedule based on complexity of relationship. Develop ongoing transmittal of credit, present facts and offer opinions concerning strength of credit Complete due diligence review of customer data, and interpret results to make recommendations to Workout Specialists regarding the servicing of debt in support of underwriting efforts Draft narrative reports that are used in quarterly reviews of substandard or worse loans and present reports to Workout staff for final approval and delivery Recognize and articulate further warning signs of troubled credit to include as part of the narrative Initiate quarterly Problem Loan Management Review in preparation for catalog review. Conduct activities related to BSA/AML, finCen, Reg H such as Know Your Customer reviews and complete other regulatory duties as needed. Assist with Customer file preparation relating to modification, charge-off and non-accrual work. Support Workout Officers in related portfolio management functions whether related to credit, depository or other banking services Scope of Responsibilities: The incumbent works under general supervision. Serves as the primary contact between internal CAM workout staff and credit officers Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1 years’ work experience in one or more of the following fields: credit underwriting, commercial credit, problem loan management, financial statement preparation/analysis, credit quality assurance or other financial analysis, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years’ experience in one or more of the following fields: : credit underwriting, commercial credit, problem loan management, financial statement preparation/analysis, credit quality assurance or other financial analysis, Education and Experience Preferred: Two or more years’ in credit underwriting role Familiarity with Bank systems and processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
