Responsibilities
- Conduct agency audits of title and escrow operations, including file reviews, disbursement procedures, and underwriting practices
- Evaluate compliance with ALTA Best Practices, state regulations, and company policies
- Identify process inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas of potential risk
- Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for process improvement, and Issue audit reports to Management with the proper distribution lists
- Complete all required statutory audits, prepare related reports, and submit those reports to the regulatory departments
- Work with the team to develop the audit schedule
- Stay current on changes in title insurance laws, escrow regulations, and industry standards
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure regulatory readiness
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on outstanding issues when tasked
- Assist in the development of Agency Operations department needs such as audit programs and compliance monitoring
Skills
- Must be able to complete day travel within the state 30%-40% of the time

- Be dependable, reliable and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours
- Have the ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback
