New Jersey Courts is a large organization dedicated to providing quality service and maintaining public trust in the judiciary. They are seeking an Asset Specialist to manage fixed asset entry, tracking, and reconciliation while supporting compliance initiatives and audits within the Financial Services Office.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day fixed asset entry and maintenance activities in accordance with Judiciary Fixed Asset Policies and Procedures
- Enter, track, analyze, and reconcile assets within the Judiciary’s asset management system (AssetCloud)
- Conduct and support physical inventory activities statewide, including travel to Judiciary locations as required
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to the Judiciary’s statewide Asset Coordinator
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and assist with reconciliation and reporting
- Communicate effectively with internal customers, business units, vendors, and other departments regarding asset-related matters
- Support statewide asset compliance initiatives and audits
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchased property and asset management
Skills
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze inventory data and reconcile discrepancies
- Proficiency with asset management systems and data entry processes
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to travel statewide for physical inventory and site visits
- Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position
- Driver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position
- Authorization to Work: Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
- Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting
- Residency Law: All persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey
- Asset Cloud by Wasp is preferred
- Applicants who are approaching their anticipated graduation date may apply. If selected, the applicant must complete their degree no later than their start date
- Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service
