The Analyst - Investment Portfolio Management role is an entry-level position supporting the Pension & Investment Manager Oversight team, focusing on analysis and reporting for investment managers associated with various insurance products. Responsibilities - Support team members in coordination, preparation, and generation of materials related to fund management oversight and evaluation - Confirm and verify data and information - This involves thorough and in-depth reviews of fund information to ensure data is presented accurately and consistently to internal and external parties - Process and compile data, provide accurate reporting for internal monitoring purposes including manager positions, fund information and performance attribution - Utilize investment related software to aid in the evaluation of managers and in the formulation of recommendations - Assist with the development of monitoring tools, processes, and other operating arrangements - Assist with creation of internal dashboards of manager / fund exposures by investment styles (passive / active), sectors (equities, fixed income, balanced, alternatives, etc.) and mandates Skills - BA or BS in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related fields is required - Knowledge or at least a strong interest in investment funds/financial industry - Strong quantitative, verbal, and written skills - Strong Excel (preferable experience with VBA), PowerPoint, and Power BI skills - Strong AI implementation abilities - Organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects - Ability to work effectively with others across multiple departments, teams, and levels - 0-2 years of experience is preferred - Familiarity with investment analytics a plus (e.g. Bloomberg, BondEdge, eVestment, Morningstar) Benefits - Comprehensive health plan that includes medical/prescription drug and vision - Dental insurance - No-cost short- and long-term disability - Company-paid life insurance - Legal services - Retirement pension funded entirely by MetLife - 401(k) with employer matching - Group discounts on voluntary insurance products including auto and home, pet, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and accident insurance - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Digital mental health programs - Parental leave - Volunteer time off - Tuition assistance Company Overview - MetLife is a provider of insurance, employee benefits, and financial services .
