4K Cinematographer / Videographer
Medical eLearning Course Shoot – Los Angeles (March 2026)
Full-Day Shoot (6–10 Hours) | Unedited Delivery Within 24 Hours
We are hiring an experienced, professional videographer/cinematographer to record two high-quality medical eLearning courses in Los Angeles in March 2026.
This is a one-day production (6–10 hours including setup and teardown). The videographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality 4K video, professional-grade audio, and synchronized 4K screen recordings of PowerPoint slides.
This is a capture-only role — no editing required. However, quality, organization, and professionalism are essential.
Project Overview
- Content: 2x medical eLearning courses (approx. 1 hour each)
- Format: Module-based recording (recording in sections)
- Environment: Professional studio setting (medical office set or green screen)
- Direction: Live remote direction via Zoom/Google Meet from producer
- Delivery: Unedited 4K video, audio, and screen recordings delivered within 24 hours of shoot day
Potential Shoot Locations (LA Area)
Final studio will be selected from one of the following:
- Temple City (Medical Lab / Doctor’s Office Set)
- Alhambra (Retro Doctor’s Office Set)
- Burbank (Pre-lit, Soundproof Green Screen Studio)
You should be comfortable operating efficiently in any of these environments.
Responsibilities
Video Capture
- Record in 4K resolution
- Proper framing, exposure, and color consistency
- Maintain continuity across modules
- Clean, professional lighting setup (adjusting for glasses glare if needed)
Audio Capture
- Capture clean primary audio
- Provide backup audio recording
- Ability to set up either:
- Lav (lapel) microphone, or
- Boom microphone
- Monitor audio levels throughout shoot
Screen Recording via a screen capture software (Critical Component)
- Capture 4K screen recording of PowerPoint slides
- Record synchronized system + presenter audio
- Ensure slides are cleanly captured without UI clutter
- Confirm screen recording workflow during setup
- Maintain organized file structure for sync in post
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with:
- Subject Matter Expert (on camera)
- Remote Producer/Director (live via Zoom/Google Meet)
- Accept live feedback between takes
- Maintain professional communication throughout the day
Delivery Requirements
- Deliver all raw footage within 24 hours of shoot
- Provide:
- Primary video files
- Primary and backup audio files
- Screen recordings
- Delivery via:
- External hard drive (if local handoff available)
- Secure cloud upload (Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)
- Organized and clearly labeled folder structure
Production Style & Environment
The on-camera expert will be teaching in a conversational style, similar to a live class. We record one module at a time, allowing natural pauses and retakes.
There will be:
- Setup time for lighting, glare testing, and framing
- Intentional breaks built into the schedule
- Real-time remote direction to refine clarity and pacing
Consistency across modules is critical for editing continuity.
A pre-filming dry run (1–2 weeks prior via Zoom) is strongly recommended to align on workflow and screen recording setup.
✅ Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years professional videography/cinematography experience
- Experience recording educational or medical content preferred
- Strong understanding of lighting for:
- Medical sets
- Green screen environments
- Experience minimizing glasses glare
- Strong audio engineering fundamentals
- Experience recording high-resolution screen capture in sync with camera footage
- Owns professional-grade equipment capable of 4K capture
- Highly reliable and organized
- Calm, professional presence on set
- Able to take direction smoothly
