About the position Responsibilities • Review ETM worklist to identify potential problem areas • Contact appropriate carriers to inquire about unpaid claims via websites and/or phone calls • Review AR trends to report consistent errors affecting claims processing • Maintain knowledge of the ETM system • Participate in monthly meetings with No Response/Billing Supervisor • Communicate with No Response/Billing Supervisor regarding unusual circumstances including adjustments, denials, and claims • Perform duties as directed by Senior Representative, No Response/Billing Supervisor, and Accounts Receivable Manager Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum two years previous medical billing experience preferred with emphasis on research and claim denials in Accounts Receivable • Demonstrated knowledge of physician billing and health care reimbursement; Medicare and Medicaid preferred • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Must be computer literate; Microsoft Office preferred • Excellent follow-up skills • Excellent organizational skills Benefits • Benefit eligibility for Medical/Dental/Vision/Life the first of the month following 30 days of employment • 401K program with discretionary matching funds available • Generous personal time off • Eight paid holidays per year • Quarterly incentive plans
