Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our legal team remotely. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support complex workers' compensation cases and collaborate with attorneys in a dynamic legal environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research, document management, and administrative skills, with experience in various areas of law including personal injury, litigation, and legal drafting. This position is fully remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
Duties
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, including legal research and document review related to workers' compensation law.
• Manage case files using document management systems and ensure all documentation is accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision, proofreading for accuracy and clarity.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
• Review medical records, reports, and other evidence pertinent to workers' compensation claims.
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies through effective phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Maintain compliance with legal procedures by filing documents electronically or physically as required.
• Support litigation processes by preparing pleadings, discovery requests, and responses in a timely manner.
• Assist in managing project deadlines and tracking case progress to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide executive administrative support as needed to attorneys and legal staff.
Skills
• Proven paralegal experience with a focus on workers' compensation law or personal injury law preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Effective proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy of all documentation.
• Exceptional organizational skills combined with project management capabilities for timely case progression.
• Professional communication skills including phone etiquette for client interactions. This role requires candidates to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of legal procedures related to workers' compensation cases while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism in a remote setting.
