Position: Veterinary Technician Assistant (Full-Time)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong love for animals, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals with care and professionalism.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Provide compassionate care and attention to animals in the clinic.
• Perform laboratory tests, including bloodwork and urinalysis.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic and animal enclosures.
• Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and medication administration.
• Support the front desk with client inquiries, appointment scheduling, and record-keeping.

Required Skills:

• A genuine passion for animals and their well-being.
• Excellent communication skills, both with the veterinary team and pet owners.
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred but not mandatory.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe clinic environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology is a plus.
• Flexibility in working hours, as some evenings and weekends may be required.
