Apply Now
Traffic & Operations Analyst Location: Fully Remote (PST/EST Overlap) Company: Umbra (Stealth Mode) Type: Full-Time (6 days/week) ABOUT THE POSITION We’re growing exponentially and looking for the next member to join our small but powerful team. This role works directly with the Traffic Lead and reports to the Traffic Manager. Our business operates in a live, high-stakes environment where performance, revenue, and ad operations must be managed in real-time—similar to a trading desk. In your first 30 days, you will shadow the team, master our tool stack, and begin sharing daily performance metrics. Department Structure You will join a lean team consisting of a Traffic Lead and a Traffic Analyst. You will step in at the Analyst level to provide additional scale and coverage. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Live Operations Monitoring: Oversee live systems, triage issues, and resolve bottlenecks in real-time through quantitative analysis. - Traffic & Quota Management: Strategically distribute traffic volume across media buying teams. Ensure daily caps are filled consistently and without chaos. - Lead Delivery Tracking: Monitor pacing throughout the day to ensure all quotas are met smoothly and strategically. - Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the glue between internal media buyers, external affiliates, vendors, and partners. - Performance Reporting: Pull daily statistics, summarize trends, and update dashboards with immaculate accuracy. - Systems Maintenance: Keep tracking platforms (Everflow, iRev, etc.) and internal spreadsheets up to date. QUALIFICATIONS Technical Skills Required (Day One) - Data Fluency: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, simple modeling). - Communication: Fluent written and verbal English; proficiency in Slack/Telegram. - Operations: Experience in fast-paced environments (Startup experience preferred). - Availability: Must be able to work 6 days/week (~9–11 hours/day) with PST/EST overlap. CULTURE & ATTITUDE We hire for attitude as much as skill. You will thrive here if you have: - Bias Toward Action: You solve problems before they reach the CEO. - Extreme Ownership: You don't ask for permission; you take responsibility for the outcome. - Loop-Closing Obsession: An "allergic reaction" to unfinished tasks or unread messages. - Low Ego & High Curiosity: You are humble, hungry to learn, and love collaborating. Who Won’t Fit: Those seeking a "pure 9-to-5" with no interest in getting into the weeds, or anyone uncomfortable analyzing large volumes of data daily. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary: We pay in the top 50% of the market for this role. - Variable: Performance-based bonuses based on goals and outcomes. - Benefits: We offer a higher base salary to allow you to select your own private benefits/healthcare. - Growth: Freedom to grow into a senior operations role as we scale new verticals. INTERVIEW PROCESS - Recruiter Screening: Basic requirements and alignment. - Culture Fit (30 min): Interview with the Traffic Manager. - Technical Skills (45-60 min): Interview with Traffic Manager & CEO. - Case Study: A real-world "take-home" scenario to analyze. - Final Review (60 min): Final assessment review and project deep-dive.
