Truck Dispatcher – H&N Dispatch LLC

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at problem-solving, and is passionate about supporting carriers with precision and professionalism. You’ll be responsible for coordinating freight movement, and maintaining compliance—all while upholding the high standards of H&N Dispatch LLC and.
Key Responsibilities
Load Coordination & Route Optimization
• Assign loads based on driver availability, location, and equipment type.
• Plan efficient routes to minimize deadhead and maximize delivery performance.
• Adjust dispatch plans in real time due to traffic, weather, or mechanical issues.
Communication & Driver Support
• Serve as the primary contact for drivers, brokers, shippers, and receivers.
• Provide clear instructions and updates throughout the load lifecycle.
• Escalate issues promptly and coordinate team support when needed.
Documentation & TMS Management
• Enter all load details into the Transportation Management System (TMS) before pickup.
• Update load status throughout the delivery process to ensure timely billing and payment.
• Maintain accurate records including rate confirmations, BOLs, and PODs.
Compliance & Broker Setup
• Ensure carriers meet FMCSA and Hours of Service regulations.
• Register carriers with regional brokers and shippers to expand load opportunities.
Carrier Recruitment & Team Building
• Maintain relationships with previously used brokers and explore partial load options when needed.
Daily Expectations
• Contact any unbooked drivers from the previous night and share your load plan.
• Submit your daily game plan to the management via call or text.
• Notify leadership after two hours of unsuccessful booking attempts to explore alternatives:
• Increase deadhead radius
• Combine partial loads
• Re-engage past brokers
• Request team assistance
• TMS updates are mandatory; failure to maintain entries may result in reduced commission for that load.
Qualifications
• Prior truck dispatching experience a must.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms and load boards.
• Must have access to a computer, reliable internet, and active load board accounts.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily outreach goals.
• Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and carrier support.
Compensation
Commission-based. Timely and complete TMS updates are required for full payout. Percentage may be reduced if manual updates are required by Management.

Pay: $400.00 - $1,200.00 per week
