Temporary Case Assistant Role Overview Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Temporary Case Assistant to join our Fire Settlement team. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who takes direction well but is also not afraid to seek clarification and ask questions when appropriate. Exercising sound discretion and judgment are imperative as there will be a lot of direct contact with clients, many of whom are under tremendous stress and may feel overwhelmed.  This position will be a 5-10 week full-time temporary position. Target start date: 04/22/2026 Salary: $25-$27/hr Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Key Responsibilities The Big Picture - Successful candidates will be skilled communicators and able to empathize with clients while gathering necessary information by phone and email.   - Case assistants must be detail oriented and organized, professional, reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.  - Ability to track work effectively, audit, and prioritize work properly.  - Management of electronic information, document management, and document review.    Specific Tasks - Reviewing Settlement Disbursement Agreements - Closing out and clean up files - Mail checks from San Diego Office - Communicate effectively with clients and gather necessary case information with empathy and professionalism. - Manage electronic information, including document management and document review. - Maintain organization across multiple time-critical projects and deadlines. - Utilize case management software (preferably FileVine) and Microsoft/Adobe tools to support daily operations. Qualifications - Experience with case management software, preferably FileVine. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe products. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. - Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Ability to work remotely.
