Our New York office is located in Midtown near the iconic Bryant Park and the historic Grand Central Terminal, New York's best-connected office neighbourhood. The beautifully designed office has 360 views and tall windows to bring the outside in. The office is open with plenty of rooms and booths to take a private call, have time to relax, work in private, or have a large collaborative meeting.
THE ROLE
The Talent and People Manager of North America will be a key stakeholder in the Global Farfetch People Strategy and Functional plans for the region and will be responsible for the implementation of all end to end People processes and initiatives. This role will be critical to ensuring we adhere to all local employment law policies as well as balancing best practice & best in market approaches to the end to end People Lifecycle for our North America teams. The role will also be the key contact for our Office Management and IT teams, ensuring all elements that impact the employee experience in the region are best in class.
The Talent and People Manager will work closely with the on the ground People Operations team as well as working in partnership with the Functional People Partners and Centralised People Management functions which include; employee relations,learning & development, compensation and benefits, reward, professional growth, communications and performance management.
As well as the regional lead, the Talent and People Manager will be the People Business Partner for the Stadium Goods business unit and also support the Functional People Business Partners in delivering any and all people initiatives across the region.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee full spectrum of people operational duties including but not limited to people business partnering, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, office management and employee relations for North America region (US & Canada)Be the business partner for Stadium Goods and support the Functional PBPs on region specific people activity by partnering together to build strategic HR plans that support the delivery of company’s business objectivesProvide coaching and guidance to all US managers in all relevant people management issues, ensuring the best people strategies and value-adding service are provided to attract, develop, motivate, and retain the talents in the functionYou will ensure Farfetch operates in line with all current US employment legislationYou will implement guidelines, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the Central teamYou will be responsible for managing all employee relations cases which may arise, working effectively with Managers and key stakeholders to deliver desired improvement and resultsYou will be responsible for the implementation of global L&D initiatives in the US; identify training areas that need attention, deliver local training in person where required and in partnership with the global Talent team continue to improve our development offeringYou will ensure all staff receive quality appraisals, and that training needs are identifiedUsing results of our annual employee survey, you will identify areas of improvement and lead on the action plan for improvement for the US region, gaining buy in from key stakeholdersYou will contribute and support the in-house Talent Acquisition team to ensure we attract, hire and retain the best talentYou will work with central teams on the management of the US HR budget and regular reporting toolsYou will work closely with the People Operations team to oversee and support administrative activities including payroll, benefits and HR system management WHO YOU ARE
You have ideally minimum 8 years+ experience either working in a high-growth e-commerce/online company ORHR Business Partner level in an established global tech/fashion companyYou have a strong understanding of CA and NY employment lawYou have extensive experience with employee relations, investigations and company grievancesYou have the ability to build rapport and relationships, with specific experience gaining the buy-in of senior management and stakeholdersYou have excellent communication skillsYou are confident managing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and developmentYou have the ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business pictureYou have leadership, coaching and mentoring skillsYou have experience working as part of an International team and with multiple territories would be a distinct advantage EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES STATEMENT & SCAM DISCLAIMER

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $110,000 and $130,000 [year]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
