Primary Role & Responsibilities- Translate spoken English dialogue into French while preserving tone, context, and cultural nuances.
- Edit subtitles to align with audio cues and visual pacing, ensuring readability, timing accuracy, and adherence to formatting standards using industry-standard subtitle editing tools.
- Proofread and review subtitles for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement feedback.
- Manage multiple projects, coordinate with project managers and editors, and ensure all deliverables meet platform-specific technical and linguistic guidelines.
Requirements- French Proficiency: Native or near-native (C1/C2); strong grasp of regional dialects and cultural references.
- English Proficiency: Strong comprehension of spoken and written English (C1/C2 level).
- Experience: 1â2 years in subtitle translation/editing in French; familiarity with AI-driven translation/localization tools.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable with media content.
- Location: living in Ukraine.
Preferred- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field (French).
- Experience with streaming platforms and accessibility standards.
