Job Overview
As a Substitute Teacher - High School with Scoot Education, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer competitive pay rates, with up to $189 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. You'll be supported by a dedicated consultant who will help you develop your skills and provide you with the tools you need to succeed in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction to high school students in a variety of subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, and more
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and school administrators
- Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and social growth
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders as needed
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree required
- CO Substitute Teacher Authorization (either have or be in the process of obtaining)
- Background check (we'll cover the cost of the one you do with Scoot)
- Three professional references with one from a previous direct supervisor
- A passion for education and putting students first

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Teaching experience, especially in high school settings
