THE ROLE We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This position will be responsible for maintaining all non-revenue specific items related to the general ledger, including prepaid expenses, leases, fixed assets, goodwill, intangibles, accruals, and intercompany & consolidation. In addition, this individual will work directly with the GL Manager to prepare monthly journal entries and monthly account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.   WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE - Financial Close & Reporting: - Work directly with the GL manager on the financial close process, contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiency - Prepare and post journal entries, including cash, fixed assets, capitalized software, leases and ARO, debt, accruals, prepaid expenses, intercompany, goodwill, intangibles and other month-end adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting - Support consolidation and foreign exchange (FX) processes, including running system templates, preparing data inputs, and performing initial checks on results - Perform month-end balance sheet accounts reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve variances - Update and maintain recurring close files (e.g., rollforwards, trackers, and schedules) to ensure completeness and consistency - Support preparation of close deliverables, including schedules and flux analysis, to assist in management reporting - Ensure supporting documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready - Compliance & Audit: - Maintain and document internal control processes and significant accounting policies to ensure compliance. - Support external audit preparation, including documentation and support schedules - Assist with implementation and improvement of internal controls and close processes - Collaboration & Projects: - Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to enhance data integrity and optimize business processes. - Assist the broader finance team with special projects and assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability - Support system enhancements, testing and automation initiatives   WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE  - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  - 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or growth-oriented environment  - Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations  - Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)  - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas  - Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail  - Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with consistency  - Clear and respectful communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams  - A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, improve processes, and take ownership of your work   WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT  - Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-currency environments - Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives - A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic team - Experience in a structured close environment with tight deadlines   The reasonably expected base salary range for this full-time position is $74,400 – $81,800 annually.
