Role Description
As a Staff Accountant, you will:
- Manage daily cash reporting — track receivables and disbursements, providing critical data for cash forecasting.
- Perform monthly cash and accrual reconciliations, including credit card fees and in-transit transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Analyze bank statements, payment registers, and GL transactions to identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
- Create and maintain journal entries across multiple accounts (cash, revenue recognition, accruals, intercompany, reclassifications, etc.).
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including reporting and GL analysis.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules.
- Generate ad hoc reports and provide analysis for management and various departments.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a large corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting concepts and practices.
- Exposure to complex cash accounting.
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
Requirements
This position has a salary range of: $50,100.00 - $75,100.00
