SDSU Alumni is part of the California State University system, dedicated to supporting students and faculty. They are seeking a Software Developer I to assist in developing and maintaining enterprise workflow and content management systems, providing hands-on learning and mentorship opportunities. Responsibilities - Assist in developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining enterprise workflow and content management solutions - Support enhancements to existing applications and workflows under established standards and guidance - Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure applications function as intended - Contribute to documentation of technical solutions and processes - Partner with business users to understand basic workflow and system requirements - Help translate business needs into technical tasks under direction of senior team members - Participate in team discussions and collaborative solution design sessions - Assist with user access configuration, security settings, and system monitoring - Support software upgrades, environment migrations, and release processes - Help maintain data integrity and system reliability - Track tasks and support requests using team tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and team meetings - Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement Skills - Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field - Foundational understanding of application development concepts, system configuration, or software lifecycle processes gained through coursework, internships, or academic projects - Familiarity with basic workflow concepts, forms development, or business process automation - Internship, academic project, or early-career experience supporting business applications, troubleshooting systems, or assisting with technical configurations - Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or other collaborative development methodologies - Exposure to enterprise applications, workflow systems, or content/document management platforms (such as Hyland OnBase or similar systems) is preferred Benefits - Generous Time Off: 15 paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. - Retirement: CalPERS pension plan with retiree healthcare, and reciprocal agreements with other California public retirement systems, including the UC. - Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision options at low or no cost. - Education Support: CSU tuition fee waiver for employees and eligible dependents. - Optional Offerings: FlexCash, life and disability insurance, legal and pet plans. - Campus & Community: Access to the library, campus events, employee groups, and volunteer and social activities.
