About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be instrumental in analyzing subscriber adjustments across our streaming portfolio, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of subscriber data and facilitating timely communication with our subscribers. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including upstream messaging partners, incident management, Business Operations, and trade engineering teams, to guarantee the integrity of our subscriber data and compliance with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the intake and documentation of data requirements related to subscriber messaging initiatives, including price increases, subscriber communications, and new data being collected, as well as episode remediation efforts.
- Develop complex queries based on business logic and legal commitments to identify accurate subsets of subscribers for messaging and remediation purposes.
- Communicate business requirements to technical teams and provide concise summaries of technical progress or roadblocks to business stakeholders.
- Develop a deep understanding of subscriber data and the technical infrastructure that underpins it.
- Oversee project planning and timelines, and manage cross-functional delivery to ensure readiness for critical business events.
- Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance through the development of robust communication processes and operational playbooks.
- Collaborate with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering to design robust reporting solutions that minimize data incidents.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 2+ years of work experience in SQL, particularly in an ETL processing pipeline.
- 2+ years of analytical experience, with a proven track record of delivering data-driven insights.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical or analytical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
- Knowledge of Python/R or other statistical programming languages.
- Familiarity with data analysis and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
- Strong relational skills, as well as written and verbal presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
