Job Description:
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy.
• Oversee the accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Analyze production and purchasing costs, manufacturing variances (labor, overhead, materials), and gross margin results to identify cost-saving opportunities and explanations of changes, support product category reporting related to cost drivers.
• Establish and routinely update standard costs for materials and labor, ensuring they reflect current manufacturing or purchasing realities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and R&D teams to understand cost drivers and support strategic decision-making.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and manufacturing operations.
• Support annual standards process to include business partner reviews of changes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance , or a related field.
• A Master’s degree (MBA) or certifications like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in cost or manufacturing accounting, including several years in a supervisory or management capacity.
