About the position EPIC Brokers has an opening for a full-time Commercial Senior Support Assistant position in the Melville NY. This position assists Commercial Lines Account Managers in the various units on a daily basis as needed; with primary responsibilities of issuing Certificates of Insurance, processing Audits and Endorsements, along with other various responsibilities. Responsibilities • Processing Endorsements per company procedures (car and equipment changes, adding locations, exposure changes, policy corrections) • Prepare insurance documentation including complex certificates, EPI’s, Acord 855’s, loss runs, and vehicle identification cards • Review of insurance requirements • Analysis of policy coverage forms and privity of contract • Set up and maintain client service activity files and filing (electronic), scanning and copying of all required documents • Audit processing and analysis • Loss runs • Special projects for Account Managers and Producers • Address coverage deficiencies related to certificates of insurance • Perform other related support duties as requested • Prepare and print proposals, schedules of insurance, and other reports • Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Train other team members as needed Requirements • Two-year insurance agency experience preferred • Knowledge of insurance principles and regulations • Problem solving skills to address issues related to insurance coverage • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and instruction from multiple Account Managers and Producers • Excellent phone and customer service skills • Data entry with attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment • Technical proficiency in all Microsoft Office products • Travel between offices for educational or other mandatory meetings is occasionally required • College degree preferred • Broker’s license is required Benefits • Generous Paid Time off • Managed PTO for salaried/exempt employees (personal time off without accruals or caps); 22 PTO days starting out for hourly/non-exempt employees; 12 company-observed paid holidays; 4 early-close days • Generous leave time options: Paid parental leave, pregnancy disability and bonding leave, and organ donor/bone marrow donor leave • Generous employee referral bonus program of $1,500 per hired referral • Employee recognition programs for demonstrating EPIC’s values plus additional employee recognition awards and programs (and trips!) • Employee Resource Groups: Women’s Coalition, EPIC Veterans Group • Professional growth & development: Mentorship Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, Leadership Development • Unique benefits such as Pet Insurance, Identity Theft & Fraud Protection Coverage, Legal Planning, Family Planning, and Menopause & Midlife Support • Additional benefits include (but are not limited to): 401(k) matching, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and wellness & employee assistance programs • 50/50 Work Culture: EPIC fosters a 50/50 culture between producers and the rest of the business, supporting collaboration, teamwork, and an inclusive work environment.
