About the position
EPIC Brokers has an opening for a full-time Commercial Senior Support Assistant position in the Melville NY. This position assists Commercial Lines Account Managers in the various units on a daily basis as needed; with primary responsibilities of issuing Certificates of Insurance, processing Audits and Endorsements, along with other various responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Processing Endorsements per company procedures (car and equipment changes, adding locations, exposure changes, policy corrections)
• Prepare insurance documentation including complex certificates, EPI’s, Acord 855’s, loss runs, and vehicle identification cards
• Review of insurance requirements
• Analysis of policy coverage forms and privity of contract
• Set up and maintain client service activity files and filing (electronic), scanning and copying of all required documents
• Audit processing and analysis
• Loss runs
• Special projects for Account Managers and Producers
• Address coverage deficiencies related to certificates of insurance
• Perform other related support duties as requested
• Prepare and print proposals, schedules of insurance, and other reports
• Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Train other team members as needed
Requirements
• Two-year insurance agency experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance principles and regulations
• Problem solving skills to address issues related to insurance coverage
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and instruction from multiple Account Managers and Producers
• Excellent phone and customer service skills
• Data entry with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Technical proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
• Travel between offices for educational or other mandatory meetings is occasionally required
• College degree preferred
• Broker’s license is required
