JOB SUMMARY The Secondary Markets Analyst facilitates all mortgage rate lock desk activities, including processing lock requests, revisions, and extensions. This role serves as the primary intermediary for loan originators and closers to resolve pricing issues and ensure data integrity across company systems. Additionally, the incumbent manages investor relationships, researches new loan products, and handles investor renewals and performance scorecards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Lock Desk Operations & Pricing · Systems, Policy & Pipeline Management · Investor Relations & Analysis QUALIFICATIONS • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Rate Lock Desk or Secondary Marketing operations. Technical Skills • Systems: Proficiency in industry-standard Loan Origination Systems and pricing engine software. • Excel: Mastery of Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookups, pivot tables, and formula writing. • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of agency/aggregator pricing, the bond market, and mortgage products. • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. KEY COMPETENCIES • Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex information and research data to solve practical problems. • Communication: Must communicate calmly and professionally in written and verbal forms to resolve conflicts and inform stakeholders. • Adaptability: Capable of managing competing demands and frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment. • Quality & Accuracy: Demonstrates thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure data integrity. Compensation:Competitive compensation and benefits offered depending on qualifications Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this position are customary to that of a desk job in an office setting. It will require sitting or remaining stationery for long periods of time (e.g., working at a desk/computer), near vision & ability to see objects on the computer screen.
