Responsibilities
- Experience with IP and technology as well as commercial contracts that involve the acquisition, use, and exploitation of technology and IP
- Candidates must have direct experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, such as contracts related to product development and licensing, manufacturing, resale, supply chain and logistics, and customer agreements, including, both consumer and B2B, hardware, software, and services which include SaaS
- Additional experience advising clients on the development and commercialization on products, including IP protection and regulatory compliance, in particular regulations related to data protection, privacy, and security is a plus
- The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic contributor to the Firm and office culture, and have a collaborative approach to his/her work environment
Skills
- One to four years of transactional experience with an understanding of IP as well as product development
- Experience with IP and technology as well as commercial contracts that involve the acquisition, use, and exploitation of technology and IP
- Direct experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, such as contracts related to product development and licensing, manufacturing, resale, supply chain and logistics, and customer agreements, including both consumer and B2B, hardware, software, and services which include SaaS
- Strong interest in Technology and IP as shown by one or more of the following: work experience in the legal field or STEM field or technology industry, law school courses and activities, undergraduate studies in related subjects (e.g., science, technology, engineering, or math), IP prosecution or litigation experience, Law Review/Moot Court or journal experience
- Self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team
