[Remote] Field Service Technician I Solar Traveler

The Field Service Technician I will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities, focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels and power inverters. Responsibilities - Takes direction from senior site personnel - Assists with troubleshooting of AC and DC power systems - Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems - Uses hand tools effectively - Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) - Manages site inventory - Follows site safety plan and safe work practices - Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.) - Interfaces with project subcontractors - Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders - Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies - Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected - Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures - Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response - Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude - Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action - Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working - Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates 'at risk' behaviors - Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly - Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence - Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures - Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing Skills - High school/GED General Education required - 1+ years or more Related maintenance experience preferred - Basic knowledge of: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) - Basic knowledge of: Electrical power systems - Basic knowledge of: Drawings - Basic knowledge of: Basic circuit theory - Basic knowledge of: OSHA regulations - Basic knowledge of: Hand tools - Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities - Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response - Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization - Domestic travel 76-100% required - Valid Driver's License required Benefits - Medical, Dental and Vision - Health Savings Account with employer contribution - Flexible Spending Accounts - Basic Life and Voluntary Life - Short and Long Term Disability - Accident, Hospital, and Critical Illness - 401 (k) plan with 6% company match - 2 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO), Sick days and 10 Paid Holidays-includes Floating Holiday - Paid Parental Leave - Employee Referral Bonus Company Overview - RES is the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, working across 24 countries and active in wind, solar, energy storage, green hydrogen, transmission, and distribution.
